Resistance: the ceiling price keeps hitting

Resistance is support's mirror image: a price the stock has struggled to push through, usually because people who bought at that level are relieved to get their money back and sell.

The more times a level holds, the more attention it gets — and the bigger the reaction when it finally gives way.

A clean break above resistance on heavy volume is treated as meaningful; a break on quiet trading often fails.

Remember

Resistance is where past buyers get their money back — and leave.

What this shows

Resistance turns into support once broken — the same number, read from the other side.
